Update on funeral

Just wanted to give a quick update about how everything went with the funeral. Scott's grandmother (mom's mom) passed away on Sunday morning. We left for the services at lunch on Tuesday and made it there just in time for visitation at the funeral home. Everyone was pretty upset but handled it well I thought, as best as they could I guess. The funeral was yesterday afternoon with the church giving the family a luncheon right before the service. It was really very sweet. Scott did ok for the most part until they started talking about Grandmom being up there with Terri (his mom)....it was a nice thing to say and probably supposed to be comforting but it was just too soon to talk about it I think.

We finally got into Houston about 10:00 last night and made it to bed just before 11:00. I'm looking forward to getting into bed early tonight if possible... Thank you for the kind words and prayers for Scott's family, we appreciated it very much.

Yesterday Scott got a phone call that his maternal grandmother had passed away. It shouldn't have been such a shock to me since I knew that she was very sick, I just didn't expect it to be so soon I guess. I feel like we just went through all of this with my grannie and his mom... I guess it's just life... Not that losing people you love is ever easy, just losing them so close together makes it really lousy. Blah!
